Struthioguins

For the #Age-of-Avians project.
When a quarter of Antarctica broke off, it began drifting closer to the equator causing temperatures to rise. No longer was that quarter of Antarctica a freezing tundra, it was now a lush, green sultry rainforest. The penguins that inhabit it became, herbivorous, fully terrestrial and evolved ratite-like body shapes (hence their new name Struthioguins) along with long legs modified for running at incredible speeds to out run predators. Their natural predators include Skewer birds, descendants of the seals that inhabit this island and large reptiles that eventually colonized the island.
